Liquid edge past AVANGAR in overtime to secure last Major spot

Liquid have secured the final spot at the ELEAGUE Major Boston's New Legends Stage after defeating AVANGAR 19-15 on Mirage.
The final match of the day began with Liquid picking up the first pistol round of the game following a successful B retake, with Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken picking up three kills. AVANGAR then hit-back on a third-round buy off of two entry kills from Timur "buster" Tulepov in the T ramp, and they followed up with another round to equalise the score at 2-2.
The game then entered a scrappy period as rounds went back and forth and anti-ecos were lost, but then AVANGAR ran away with the lead, closing out the half with a 9-6 lead as the rounds Liquid edged out were few and far between.
AVANGAR picked up where they had left off and won the pistol round and the following anti-eco to take an even bigger lead over the North Americans. The game then turned into a complete one-sided affair as Liquid won nine of the following ten rounds to secure a 14-12 lead. buster and Dzhami "Jame" Ali then came up for the Kazakhstani team, who hit match point, but a stunning quad-kill from Nick "nitr0" Cannella in the 30th round pushed the game to overtime.
With the momentum on their side, Liquid rallied for a quick win in overtime, winning four straight to close out the match and book the last spot in the next stage.
